Hi folks!

I finally updated a few shots of the past few weeks (Robichaud, Maggie (ASD-N) | King Street Elementary). It’s been busy – school cross-country showcase, Lione’s Science experiment, learning about Nuclear power and chain reactions, Pinkies for Polio, and checking our school Nest Boxes for any signs of activities!

Students are wrapping up their writing activities in descriptive writing, summarizing 6 Science experiments, estimating in Math and our Elder Talk series. So much to learn! Our first block with Mme Sally is ending and Mme Carroll will be coming in our class 1 hour/day until Christmas to provide extra support and boost some reading skills.

Library contest – Students brought a library contest home today. If your child has a library card they can enter October’s contest. We’ve completed all the activities at school! You can drop it to the Chatham library yourself, or send it in tomorrow (Thursday) and I’ll drop it off for you! If your child does not have a library card and would like one, just let me know and I can send a form home. You can request any book from across NB for FREE!

Halloween – Thursday is Black and Orange day if your child chooses to participate. Also on Friday they are welcome to bring their costume to school for a Halloween parade and dance in the afternoon. Our class will be have a little party. Students are welcome to bring in a small treat/drink/item for the class, if you choose. There are 23 students. No obligation!

Je lis, je lis – Students have access to Je lis, je lis (jelis.rkpublishing.com). It is an online French book site that students use in our class. They can listen to the recordings and even record themselves reading for me to hear! Great for students who like to forget their book at school.

All for now!

-Mme R
