Tintamarre and Market

ACADIAN TINTAMARRE: Tomorrow afternoon! Please send any spoons to play and have your child wear blue, red and white with yellow stars (if possible). Prizes available for best dressed! Followed by a LIVE concert in our gym. Roland Bibeau will be here. Link to his music: Roland Bibeau – Music

KSE MARKET: Grade 4 English students have worked hard on a program called “Power Play”. They’ve created their own products to sell at a market. The market will be Wednesday. Our class is invited to shop. If you send money with your child, I strongly suggest a baggie with their name on it and the amount. If you’d like to send it in on Tuesday, that works too! Happy shopping!

RECORDERS: bring every day to practice our performance on Thursday @9am @KSE den.

Congrats to our solo speech participants! Brave kids getting up in front of an audience!

Hi folks!

Another busy week is coming up! Cursive writing examples and multiplication tests will go home on Monday. Grade 4 students will be teaching parents a new way to do multiplication. We’ve started a new class novel – Charlotte’s Web.

On Tuesday, we will have an Acadian celebration at KSE. Students are asked to wear red, white and blue with yellow stars. We will be having a tintamarre (loud parade). If you happen to have any wooden spoons or metal spoons we can borrow for the day, please send them along.

Our class will be performing at the Music festival on Thursday @KSE den @9am. Please make sure your child brings their recorder that day! Good luck to students in our class participating in solo speeches, choirs, drama and choral reading at the Music Festival! Parents are welcome to come watch the talent. I’ll also try my best to video!

All for now!

Hi folks!

Our class will be celebrating Black History Month (usually in February) a month late! Feel free to ask your child about what we are learning in class.

For those students in choir or drama, afterschool practices will be coming up. While you sent a permission form saying they could stay, please write in their agenda or write me a note each time your child stays afterschool. Thanks! Save a lot of leg work. To note: drama will be Tuesdays and Thursdays until 4:15 until the end of May. Choir will be the next two Wednesdays. Writing a lot keeps everyone organized.

All for now!
