Hi folks!

I have a few corrections from last week’s email. First off, Terry Fox ended his Marathon just outside Thunder Bay, Ontario. Second, please note some changes to our Terry Fox rewards. Some dates were changed and are reflected on the calendar that went home today and the list below.

Also, weather pending, I’m hoping to do a STEM activity with the students each week. To start off, I’m hoping each student can bring in a mason jar (and cover) for Friday. The jar and cover will be returned to the own next week once our experiment is over.

TUES: No school – National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
WED: Library day, Collecting Food bank donations, Hat day, Thanksgiving meal order due
THURS: Elder Talk Thursday, Collecting Food bank donations
FRI: PJ Day
MON: Crazy Hair or Accessory day

Hi folks!

Here are your reminders for next week (September 29th – October 3rd)! A reminder that Monday is Orange shirt day at our school. Mrs McLean has organized a school wide drum circle and presentation. Also, our class will be participating in “Elder Talk Thursdays” in the month of October. It is a virtual learning session each Thursday where elementary students learn about Truth and Reconciliation from Elders and authors around the province. Hopefully your child will continue to talk about orange shirt day and truth and reconciliation not just on September 30th, but also throughout the month of October and throughout the year.
