🧡 Learning Through Indigenous Perspectives

4B had a wonderful opportunity to learn with Rachel Bell as they explored Indigenous history and culture. Students investigated where First Nations communities and reserves are located across Canada, helping them develop a deeper understanding of the land and the people who have called it home for generations.

Students also learned how to introduce themselves in Mi’kmaw, discussed the importance and meaning of sitting together in a circle, and put their learning into action by practising movement using the four cardinal directions—north, south, east, and west.

A meaningful, hands-on learning experience that brought history, geography, language, and culture together! 🧭🧡
