Our class has adopted a Spirit Bear. Our bear is now hibernating. Students have made a den for her. An Elder will come to our class this Spring, when she wakes up to give her a name in Mi’kmaq. Miss Rachael Bell from our ASDN Indigenous Lead is teaching us about the First Nations culture.

3. Olympic Spirit Day Friday (Our class will dress in Germany colours. Yellow, black and red)

• Wednesday, we will have Miss Bell, our Indigenous District lead, come in our class for a few weeks and do lessons on Spirit Bear and Indigenous Culture. Students are very excited for this project as our class will be adopting a bear.
