Students explored the importance of laws and learned about the people and groups who advocate for new laws in our society. To deepen their understanding, students participated in an anonymous classroom voting exercise, experiencing firsthand how decisions can be made fairly. They also created their own ‘fair/unfair’ paddles, which they used to actively engage in discussions about various laws, rights, and responsibilities. This interactive approach fostered critical thinking, civic awareness, and respectful debate.
